The matching rate of comparing fingerprint images with templates achieved 500 000 comparisons per second on a one core processor of an ordinary PC. Besides that the process is fully automatic. There is no need to control the fingerprint coding manually any longer. It makes the work of police experts essentially easier delivering them from such a routine.
